Robot City
The goal of this project was to create an open world level themed around a space-base.
Using the Stack-O-Bot's game blueprint, I tried to think about how robots whose primary function was to “stack” would build a city

Ground Level
The base entrance acts as both a hub to talk to potential NPCs. It also as a landmark that helps set it out from the rest of the environment around it.
The Gate Cannon acts as a defense mechanism for the city. This could also act as a quest location of sorts. From fixing it to using it to defend the city.
The Park is the location of the oldest npc in the game, the gardener. The player can talk to the gardener to learn more about the history of the world and get some thoughts on what is currently happening. The player is also able to collect plants while exploring around the area and when they do so those plants will show up in the garden. This encourages players to explore to look for these types of collectables.
The dance "bar" is a social hub that the player can go to to talk to npcs and potentially get more information about the world and quests.
1st Floor
The first floor of the city is the habitation level. On this level, the player can visit NPCs in their home.
This also acts as a place to help build the world through environmental storytelling. One NPC's home might have a bunch of collectibles and artifacts while another NPC's home might be filled with trash to indicate they are a hoarder.
2nd Floor
The second floor is the location of the town square, the museum, and the store.
Like The Park, The Museum is a location for the player to be able to view the different collectibles that they find throughout the game. A gallery of sorts.
The player can trade and purchase upgrades, cosmetic changes, and repairs at the store. The Mechanic, the robot who runs the shop, also serves as a mentor figure to the player.
The training course behind the shop is meant to be a location that allows the player to test their equipment and practice platforming. I would also want to change the layout of the course for every piece of equipment that they would use.
3rd Floor
The third floor is the Player's home base. This is where they first spawn in the game and is the main save area that they can respawn to.
From this room, the player is also able to get a view of three other major POIs: The Engine, The Ruined Ship, and The Church.
Roof
The helicraft on the roof is where the player can go to fast-travel to other major locations.
From here the player can also talk to another major NPC: The Pilot.
The Wilds
The area outside of the city and outside other POIs is called the Wilds. While out in the wilds, the player will avoid/fight enemies such as evil bots, animals, or other scavengers.
The Force Awakens inspired the Wreckage.
The initial job of the player is to scavenge from this location to help the city grow and develop.
The Church is the wreckage of life support pods, the area is surrounding a central dome where thousands of “Creators” still lie dormant in frozen stasis, never to awaken again. Myth has formed up around the return of the creators from their sleep.
The Engine is a second city in the world. The central point of this city is built around the still-burning engine of the old ship. This city is the LARGEST city, built around the idea of forward progress and growth. They all follow the bot king, the great bot who will rule for thousands of years
